Friends or something more?
You are always trying to figure out what the other party is trying to convey to you. So there you are, cracking your brain and trying to decipher her actions and words like the Da Vinci code. She’ll reply almost immediately on some days, take hours or even days to reply on other days and eventually disappear from the conversation. Just as you finally “got” over her, she texted you again. Argh.

Last seen
When she stops replying to your texts, you start looking at her last seen on WhatsApp. You feel like a stalker, but you just can’t stop yourself from checking whether she’s really busy, or she really don’t want to talk to you.

Sudden change of routine
You always text her at 9 am in the morning when she wakes up for work and she always replies to your text with a good morning and a smiley. You feel like texting her but you’re afraid that you’re annoying her.

Exchanging numbers
When you got to know a girl in a pub or club somewhere, you gathered up your courage and asked for her number. She gave you her number, so there you are, ecstatic and feeling like the luckiest guy in the world. All that came crashing down when she doesn’t reply you, or give replies that make you feel like she’s going to brush you off.

Split personality
You feel that she has a split personality, the way she acts in front of you and the way she reply to your texts is totally different. She can be bubbly and cheerful in front of you, but on the phone, you get short, uninterested replies.

360 degrees change
She could be sending you her selfies, sending you voice messages instead of text messages, concerned about whether you’ve eaten your dinner and all. Then one day, she stopped sending voice messages, selfies and don’t really care even if you have a high fever. You start wondering if you’ve done something wrong.

Lying
Is she lying, or is she telling the truth? Is it a come on or go away? You cannot understand anymore.

Hot and cold
All of the points above sums up this final point, hot and cold. The way she treats you is simply described as hot and cold, sometimes she is very nice to you, sometimes she just don’t give a hoot about you.
