Are you single and available? Waiting for Mr. Right to come along and sweep you off your feet? He might be lost and is finding his way to you as I write this. But before he arrives, perhaps you should take a look at our list below and get rid of these bad habits so that you can have a better life for yourself and be prepared for him.

Too impulsive
Us girls tend to listen to our heart instead of our head especially when we see something we like and want to buy it. We work hard for our money and it is well within our rights to spend it as we see fit but it isn’t wise to keep indulging in impulsive purchases which some won’t even see the light of the day after the item is brought home. Think carefully before making unnecessary purchases.

Too soft-hearted
We girls are often easily persuaded by a few well-spoken words in our ears. Remember to steel your resolve especially if there are people who try to persuade you to buy all sorts of insurance or investments. Determine whether the plan you are purchasing is really suitable for you and firmly decline if you find it is not. Do not just listen to other people’s opinion that it is good.

Overly dependent
I cannot emphasize this point enough. Girls, it will never do to be too dependent on your significant other. Don’t just stay at home and wait for him to come home from work everydayhe will soon feel you are too needy, build your own career or interest away from home . At the end of the day, as both of you relax at home, you will find that you won’t run out of topics to talk about and your man will be proud of your independence too. It is the age of feminism after all.

Not planning for the future
Yes, you may be young now and old age might seem like a blurry, distant future but all too soon this will catch up on you. Don’t just live in the now, start thinking of your future. A good start would be to invest that spare cash instead of buying another pretty pair of shoes or clothes.

Greedy
Now this greedy means that we girls are easily tempted by discounts and sales. Our eyes light up as soon as we spot the word sales or promotions. We then justify our shopping spree by saying that the things are so cheap, it would be a waste not to buy them. However, stop to think for a moment, is the discount really that worth it? Businessman are shrewd people, they will certainly try their best to make as much money as possible out of their customers.

Envious of others
As the saying goes, “the grass is always greener on the other side.” We may see so-and-so’s lovey-dovey affair splashed out all over social networks and start to compare our relationship to theirs. There will always be someone who is better than us, besides, how do we know are they as happy as they seem? As long as we have everything we need and focus on the good rather than the bad, you will be surprised to find that your life might even be better than theirs.

Acting strong
Although we are all strong, independent women inside, sometimes it’s okay to let go and let someone else take the reins for a change. It’s especially important to let your guard down and allow your significant other to take care of you sometimes.

Neglecting your friends
We all have been through the honeymoon period when we absolutely need to meet our significant others daily. But when the first flush of love has passed, make some time for your friends too, for they have always been there for you before you had a partner. It’s important to have your own circle of friends besides your partner.

Living beyond your means
In this day and age, many of us have credit cards, a necessary evil. It is so easy to rack up a credit card debt, but when the bills come at the end of the month, you will have a hard time paying it off if you didn’t allocate enough to pay it off. This will affect your credit rating and possibly lead to bankruptcy in extreme cases.
