Éclairs! Cheesecakes! Mousse! Panna Cotta! Waffles! If you share my love for desserts then read on or you will be missing out the most popular cream puffs in Singapore!
Dulcet & Studio
The star of D&S is its Matcha Cream Puff might probably the best matcha-flavoured puff I had ever tasted in my short 29 years (and counting). Frankly, I am not partial to either custards or green tea because I find custards to be slimy while green tea an unsuitable ingredient for desserts. But somehow, the contrasting fragrance and refreshing bitterness of the thick, creamy, and intense green tea custard clears the palate of any lingering sugary aftertaste.

Châteraisé
The Double Fantasy Cream Puff is just pure heaven in the form of a soft choux puff stuffed with fresh light Hokkaido cream and sweet smooth egg custard cream. Trust me when I say the puff is soft as a cloud and biting into it releases its payload of mind-numbing subtle milky and custardy goodness so otherworldly that all guilt of excessive caloric consumption is deleted from your mind.

 Ollela
Although having a lot a variety gives us more choices, at times I believe having a smaller selection gives the impression of haute couture and helps with choosing my poison. Given my weakness for desserts, I would simply get the Mini Choux Platter (S$21) where I get to savour all seven irresistible flavours: Apple Cinnamon, Dark Chocolate, Lemon Meringue, Matcha Azuki, Raspberry, Tiramisu, and Vanilla.

Neato
According to raving descriptions from my fellow dessert kaki, I am quite convinced that Neato’s cream puffs are the xiao long bao of the dessert world. Petite and bite-sized but filled with creamy magic that explodes with flavour, Neato is simply a culinary masterpiece.

Pulse Patisserie
Although I am a Singaporean, I really cannot understand the rave behind anything and everything that has salted egg yolk in it. Much as I religiously believe that desserts are supposed to be sweet, I have to concede that salty liquid egg yolks can just be as messy but tantalizing and addictive as sweet, sweet sugar.

Pantler
After introducing cream puffs of many new and unique flavors, it is time to go retro. Although the choux cream puff at Pantler is vanilla flavoured, and like its competitors, its cream is as light and airy while the pastry is crisp and light. Pantler simply made the ordinary into an extraordinary confection masterpiece with the addition of crunchy almond brittle.

Beard Papa
We all have been taught to be generous and share good things with our friends. But when it comes to Beard Papa’s Original Vanilla Cream Puff, my friend did not share his with me. Curious, I got myself one and I was amazed by its sheer size and awesomeness. Plus, its durian cream puffs is nearly comparable to the atas ones at Goodwood Park Hotel.

Chewy Junior
Chewy Junior simply has too many cream puffs for me to do adequate justice to any of them. But it is my duty to let readers know that a whole new range of best-selling Super Crunch puffs were released several months back. And my favorite are the chocolate potato chips (I really like potato chips) and frosty cheese maple cereal (cheese and maple are… mind-blowing).

Scoop Therapy
Scoop Therapy’s Ice Cream Bomb is indeed da bomb! Gone is the conventional whipped cream filling. Instead, it is filled with a scoop of ice cream and it is topped with chocolate syrup and toppings of your choice. If this doesn’t placate your cravings, then I don’t know what will.
