Does your girlfriend always complain about how broke she is at the end of the month, even when she earns quite a bit more than you do? There are quite a number of reasons for this, so don’t go around criticising her if you know nothing, dude! Just take a look at the possible reasons below.

Yes, just one word. Do you know how much pads cost?! Some girls can even go through a whole pack in a day. Imagine the amount spent every month, and times it by 12.

She is way too popular.
Lucky for you, the one guy who managed to steal her heart. Not so lucky for her wallet, when she has lots of friends to go out with and entertain (while spending money).
She loves to look good.
Again, you are lucky to be on the receiving end of that flawlessness. However, looking good needs a lot of money. How else did you think she got her clothes and bags and makeup?
She showers you with gifts.
Don’t even find excuses to criticise her spending habit when you are on the receiving end. Count your blessings!
She spends a lot of money on food.
If she earns a lot, she is probably always working from day to night and have no time to cook her own meals. If so, then she will probably spend a lot of money on takeaways and deliveries.
She buys a cup of Starbucks coffee everyday.
What’s with girls, Starbucks and Instagram? We just don’t know. She can save $100 every month if she kick the (expensive) coffee addiction and just get simple kopi.
She needs the new iPhone every year.
Yes, she needs it, not want. May the heavens help her if Apple comes up with carnation silver or poppy red, after that rose gold craze.
It’s easy to spend a lot more even when you earn just a bit more.
Not to say that she is a spendthrift, but even a small increase in salary (like $200) can increase spending habits by more than 2x of that. This is just because we tend to have a warped perception of money, depending on the situation. Just compare how much you spend when you receive your paycheck, and how much you spend when you are nearing the end of the month.
She’s just a spendthrift.
Okay fine, now we are saying that she might be a spendthrift. Spending habits and vices vary between different women, so you can go point it out to your girlfriends (we are staying out of this).
