Zulfiqar faces the following charges:

  1. Dangerous driving causing death.
  2. Dangerous driving causing hurt.
  3. Driving while disqualified, as a repeat offender.
  4. Failing to stop after an accident.

The charges concern both his alleged conduct during and after the crash, and the vehicle he allegedly used.

Bail was denied because the judge considered him a flight risk, The Straits Times reported.

The gag order prohibits publication of the deceased couple’s identities. 8world reported that the order was issued because they leave behind a six-year-old child.
