What Happened?
Lest you’re not aware, here’s a quick recap of what happened to Hong Kong socialite and model Abby Choi.
Choi had been reported missing last Tuesday after failing to pick her daughter up from school.
She was found dead and dismembered in a village house in the Tai Po district. The police found weapons such as an electric saw and a meat grinder at the crime scene.
Police found the missing head of Ms Choi in one of two big pots. The pots contained soup and minced meat, believed to be human remains. Police also found ribs believed to be Choi’s in the soup.
She was only 28 years old.

Five Suspects Arrested
All five suspects arrested were related to her former husband’s family.
Her former husband, Alex Kwong, his father, and his brother have been charged with murder. His mother has been charged with obstruction of justice, meaning she played a part in trying to cover up the murder.
The fifth person arrested is a 47-year-old woman who is reportedly the mistress of Kwong’s father.
This isn’t the first time Kwong’s father was embroiled in a criminal case. He was a policeman embroiled in a rape case in 2005. While under investigation, he left his post voluntarily.
Condolences Flooding Choi’s Mother’s Douyin
Messages of condolences have flooded the Douyin account of Choi’s mother, who goes by the name “Fifth Sister” on the platform.
Though she has not spoken up about her daughter’s murder, she has liked comments left by other users.
Choi’s Instagram page has also been similarly flooded with messages of condolences as more details of her gruesome murder are reported.
