Hong Kong superstar Aaron Kwok has reportedly given his pregnant wife Moka Fang a no-limit credit card after learning about their third child’s gender.
The 59-year-old singer confirmed in June that his wife, model Moka Fang, 37, is expecting again. Kwok declined to disclose the gender of his third child at the time.
Aaron Kwok Sets Aside HK$100 Million for Baby’s Arrival
According to Hong Kong’s East Week, Kwok has been over the moon since learning about the baby’s gender. He has shared the good news with his mahjong friends.
The report claimed the pregnancy was planned, as Kwok has long expressed his wish for a son to inherit his luxury cars, timepieces, and other prized possessions.
Sources say Kwok recently surprised Fang by upgrading her supplementary credit card to a no-limit one after hearing they’re expecting a boy. The icon has reportedly set aside HK$100 million (~SGD$17.1 million) to celebrate the arrival of their third child.
According to Dimsum Daily, Fang is about five months pregnant.
When Fang was pregnant with their second child six years ago, Kwok reportedly believed it was a boy and excitedly talked about having a male heir to inherit his collection of luxury cars and watches.
More recently, Kwok apparently shared with friends a belief that daughters bring fortune, while sons might bring financial challenges. He reportedly enjoyed a winning streak at the gambling table before the births of his daughters, but experienced losses more recently.
Four Heavenly Kings Could Welcome First Son Among Group
If reports are true, Aaron will be the first among the Four Heavenly Kings to have a son. The Cantopop legends — Aaron, Jacky Cheung, Andy Lau and Leon Lai — have been dubbed “Four Heavenly Father-In-Laws” as they all have daughters.
Jacky is dad to Zoe, 24, and Zia, 19, while Andy and Leon each have one daughter: Hanna, 13, and Leon’s seven-year-old daughter.
Kwok and Fang, who tied the knot in 2017, have two daughters aged seven and five – Chantalle, seven, and Charlotte, five.
Despite his packed concert schedule with upcoming shows in Macau over three consecutive weekends this month, Kwok reportedly plans to return to Hong Kong after each performance rather than stay overnight.
He has arranged this schedule so he can be by Fang’s side during her pregnancy.
