Rejection is commonplace in life, whether it’s a job interview, routine suggestion or romance. And though the last one, as my Aunt Matilda would put it, hurts like a f***ing b*tch, we eventually grow to overcome it, and may even become stronger people in the process.
But some do not contend with such rejection in a civilised manner. No. Some choose to adopt more shocking measures, in a bid to handle their frustration at being rejected. And while some options are self-inflicted, others may be directed at opposing parties…
Including the individual who rejected you, mere moments ago.
Woman Beaten up By Admirer for 2 Hours After She Refused to Go Out With Him
According to Sin Chew Daily, a 22-year-old woman was beaten up in horrific fashion when she rejected a 27-year-old man’s advances.
The incident took place in the country of Vietnam.
After the man was rejected, he flew into a fit of rage, dragging the victim by her hair and assaulting, kicking and punching her in a room.
The ordeal was captured on a CCTV camera.
The beating lasted for two entire hours and only halted when someone stepped into the room and intervened.

The woman had to be sent to the hospital immediately.
Apart from a swollen head and face as well as cracked ribs, her body was also bruised all over.
According to the news report, investigations are currently ongoing.
Netizens have since condemned the man for his actions, with some calling him a “beast” and others deeming him a “person with psychological problems”.
Psychological Trauma
Physical injuries aside, we are concerned about the woman’s state of mind as well. If she encounters a similar confession in the near future, will she dare to reject it again, or will she comply simply because she’s fearful of history repeating itself?
For the sake of her well-being and happiness, we can only hope that she picks the former. Because in the end, one black sheep does not represent the whole population. Just because one man did not have the good grace to accept a rejection peacefully, does not mean that others will follow suit.
With that we wish the woman a speedy recovery, and hope that she will not suffer extensive psychological trauma from this incident. You got this, girl!
As for the man in question…
I’m sure the court will be hearing about the case soon enough.Â
