Ailee and Choi Si Hun Reportedly Dating

News1, a Korean news outlet, first reported the good news on 14 May, stating that South Korean singer Ailee, 34, is dating reality show participant Choi Si Hun, 31 after rumours tracing back to March.

Apparently, in March, Ailee hinted at being in a relationship with someone who was a non-celebrity businessman.

Through her agency, Ailee announced that she had been in a relationship for a while, and the lucky man was indeed Choi Si Hun.

Star-studded Couple, Netizens Flood their Congratulations

Ailee is a South Korean-American singer-songwriter who debuted in 2012 with her hit single “Heaven” which earned her Best New Artist Award, Golden Disc Award, Seoul Music Award and many others.

Currently, her most viewed music video is for her song “I Will Show You”, with 117 million views and her song “U&I” won her the Best Vocal Performance Award.

Choi Si Hun is an emerging actor who first gained popularity from his appearance on Netflix Single’s Inferno. It was a well-loved dating show and he had failed in the finale, but this allowed him to sign on to become an actor under Polaris Entertainment.

He was continuously building up his resume given that he had starred in various K-dramas like, I Ate Well Today (2021) and Romanced (2021) among others.

Under the comments of Choi Si-Hun’s post, fans shared their congratulations to the couple, and some even appealed to him asking him to take care of Ailee well.

Couple Goals – Thinking Long Term 

Looking at Choi’s Instagram, he had apparently been a fan of Ailee’s music for a while, even supporting her at her concert.

As mentioned, Choi Si-hun had been Ailee’s secret partner since the rumours in March. Back then, Ailee’s agency released a statement stating that Ailee and her “non-celebrity man” had plans to get married next year.

That means that things are getting serious between Ailee and Choi (who’s not so “non-celebrity” anymore).

Following the announcement, News1 shared Ailee’s response. She said that she was “really grateful for your sincere congratulations” and called for support from fans.

She plans to share more about the news when she’s ready.
