The closest I can ever get to a big breakfast is McDonald’s, which I haven’t done in years just because –
Well, I haven’t found the need to indulge on stale eggs from a box.
For someone who hasn’t got a sense of what is what in the kitchen, I sure talk a lot.
How difficult could it possibly be to whip up a meal that’s worthy of a feature on a Western sitcom? You know what I’m talking about. I’m betting on a legendary Pokemon that you’ve imagined yourself in that very setting.
I bet you sipped on your mediocre tasting cup of instant coffee and contemplated hopping on the next train to Hell’s Kitchen.
Apparently, the process isn’t as simple as we thought it would be. A Malaysian Netizen by the Twitter handle @arlinabanana was recently criticised for her version of the Big Breakfast after a photograph of her meal was retweeted by @ratemyplatenow.

Yes, Arlina was angmoh-splained.
Big Girls Don’t Cry, They Make Big Breakfasts Instead
First of all, preach!
Arlina tweeted two photographs of her version of the breakfast meal on 23 November. She accompanied them with the caption, “Big girls don’t cry, they make big breakfast instead.”
The photographs showed two varying ways in which she had plated the dish.
The first image showed an extravagant plate of breakfast staples, a bowl of baked beans, and a few condiments.
While the other image depicted a plate that combined the elements.
Did Arlina ask for anybody’s opinion? No.
Did she need anybody’s opinion? No.
Is she entitled to go about how she wants to serve her food? Yes.
But of course, Twitter being Twitter, Arlina’s Big Breakfast became quick to garner a few unsolicited comments from our friends at the other side of the world.
One of them even called her out for having a bottle of mayonnaise. I personally love mayonnaise in all its glorious forms!
I would be lying if I said I didn’t laugh at this one.
Malaysian Netizens Fight Back
It could have ended there and then but Malaysian Twitter is not about the life of a quitter.
It was nothing that a little trolling could not fix.
One Netizen even referenced an incident where a Malaysian stumbled upon a jackfruit cut like a watermelon in a grocery store in the United States.
The past few days have definitely been happening. For Arlina’s notifications, at the very least. Despite all of the backlash, we hope that the big girl in her hasn’t shed any tears.
Good plating skills! You’re doing so well, sweetie! Keep it up!
