Was he defying gravity? Nope, he was defying vehicles. In one man’s pursuit of trying to become the next Marvel superhero by controlling traffic, he unfortunately failed.
As the saying goes, don’t let your feelings get the best of you, as all eyes may be on you while you’re doing something silly.
A man set to star in the next adventure blockbuster movie was seen blocking a bus in Clementi in a fit of rage.
Why So Angry?
The man was seen standing on the road by a bus stop located along Ayer Rajah Expressway in Clementi in front of an incoming 197 bus in a video uploaded by Facebook user Beh Chia Lor – Singapore Road.
According to the post, the man was using his phone and unaware that his bus had arrived.
When he realised the bus had come and left as no one had flagged it, he was unhappy and decided to stand by the bus bay.
His actions jeopardised not only his safety but also the bus driver of the incoming 197 bus, who had to brake and honk several times to get him off the road.
The man, however, did not budge.
According to the post, the incident occurred on Friday, 17 March, at around 2.20 pm.
Netizens’ Reactions
The general sentiments among those who viewed the video on Facebook were expected—that this was a stupid thing to do.
Many expressed their disapproval at the man’s odd actions, pointing out how selfish and apathetic he was to his and others’ safety.
Some blamed his actions on his age, reinforcing the view that Gen Zers were prone to doing silly things without thinking about those around them.
Others mentioned how illogical it was that the man would put himself in a situation that could risk his well-being.
Some blamed it on our country as a whole, how our traits as a nation lead to stupid things being done.
Recent Unfortunate Bus Stop Incidents
On 7 March, a Toyota Vellfire driver flashed the middle finger to a 175 bus captain who honked at him along a bus stop opposite North Collegiate London School (Singapore) along Depot Road.
The driver was blocking the road and preventing the bus from arriving at the bus stop.
A video submitted to Stomp showed the car waiting a few metres before the bus stop, although no vehicles were permitted to stop on the road as it had double lines.
