Imagine being in the wrong place at the wrong time and because of that, you’re caught in the middle of a robbery.
The robber has a gun and he’s demanding the shop owner give him all his money. Scared and afraid, you take out every dollar you have in your wallet to pass it over to the robber.
But as you try to hand over your money, instead of taking it, the robber tells you it’s all alright and even kisses you on your forehead to get you to calm down.
Well, an old lady from Northeast Brazil doesn’t have to imagine this scenario because it actually happened to her last Tuesday.
Wait what??
The Daily Mail reported that last Tuesday, two robbers barged into a pharmacy owned by Samuel Almeida in Brazil and demanded cash from him.
The CCTV footage showed one of the robbers getting Samuel to kneel after doing a full body check on him while another robber had a gun in his hands as he shouted out demands.
The robbers want money. Seems pretty normal for a robbery right?
Then Things Started Getting Trippy
Things only start getting confusing when a frail old woman, who also happened to be in the store, offers the robber money, only to get rejected by the robber.
Instead of robbing her as well, one of the robber rubs her shoulder softly and even gives her a gentle kiss on her forehead before telling her “No Ma’am, you can be quiet, I don’t want your money.”
It’s weird, but in a way, kinda nice of him to do that.
The robbers soon left the shop with $328 in cash that they got from the store owner alongside other goods that they stole.
The reason why the robber refused to take the old woman’s money is still unknown and the two robbers are yet to be caught.
While the robber’s reaction to the woman was a bit absurd, this just goes to show that even robbers have hearts and they couldn’t bear to rob an innocent, scared old lady of her hard-earned money. (Which, if you think about it, is sweet, I guess…)
