Avengers Actor Jeremy Renner Allegedly Threatened To Kill Ex-Wife

Avenger’s Hawkeye is portrayed as a loving husband and father.

In the movies, he is always nurturing and looks out for the family.  He spends time with the kids, hugs the wife, etc.

Awww, warm and fuzzy indeed.

But, here’s the kicker.

Jeremy Renner, the man who plays Hawkeye in The Avengers, has had some serious accusations hurled against him by his ex-wife, Sonni Pacheco.

What’s the accusation? Oh, that Jeremy threatened to kill her.

These allegations stem from their custody battle for their 6-year-old daughter, Ava. 28-year-old Sonni had filed multiple claims against the 48-year-old actor.

According to official documents, apart from threatening to kill her, Renner also stuck a gun in his mouth and threatened to kill himself.

Other Accusations Sonni Pacheco Brought Against Jeremy Renner

  • Firing a gun into the ceiling while Ava was asleep
  • Left cocaine on a bathroom counter reachable by Ava
  • Nanny overheard Renner saying that he was going to Pacheco’s house to kill her and then kill himself because it was better that Ava had no parents than to have Pacheco as a mother
  • Has a history of substance abuse and has harmed her verbally and emotionally

According to Sonni, Renner had made the threats against her in November when he was drunk and high on cocaine in a night club.

Sonni said that Jenner told someone in the club that he “could not deal with her anymore and just wanted her gone.”

You know a marriage is going downhill when you don’t talk directly anymore. (And also when…you know, you threaten to kill them)

Court Hearing

The couple was married in 2014 and split up a year later. The couple had initially agreed to joint custody but Pacheco later requested for sole custody of Ava. The court hearing has been scheduled for 7 November 2019.

The couple was also ordered to attend child custody mediation.

According to a Fox News article, one of Jenner’s reps said that the well-being of Ava has always been Jeremy’s No 1 concern.

That’s really good to hear.

The rep went on to highlight that Sonny’s accusations are one-sided with a specific goal in mind.

I think we know what that goal is: She wants sole custody of Ava. Let’s hope that the couple can put aside their personal differences and think of Ava.

In any case, it’s their personal life and we should let them settle their issues without judgment. We don’t know the full story and the details that have been omitted. We wish them nothing but the best and hope that little Ava can somehow have the love of both parents.
