Mickey and Minnie will have to step aside because there’s gonna be a new attraction in town:
Disney confirmed on 23 August 2019 that a Marvel-themed attraction, ‘Avengers Campus’ will arrive in Disneyland as early as 2020.
That’s like next year.
And get this: It looks massive too.
It’s time to book your plane tickets because the Avengers Campus at California Disneyland and Paris Disneyland will be available next year in its newly expanded areas.
A spokesman said at the expo that these campuses are set up by the Avengers to recruit the next generation of superheroes – park visitors.
Spider-Man Attraction: Worldwide Engineering Brigade (WEB)
Good news for Spider-Man fans: though there has been news of Peter Parker leaving the Marvel Universe, you’ll be glad to know that he will have his own attraction at Avengers Campus.
In the attraction, park visitors will help Spider-Man get out of a sticky situation. You’ll get your own superpowers which will help you to collect Spider-Bots that have “run amok.”
Ant-Man Attraction: Pym Test Kitchen
Information regarding this attraction is pretty limited, but from our understanding, you’ll be able to eat food that is grown or shrunk by Pym particles.
Dr Strange Attraction
At Dr Strange’s attraction, it looks as if you’ll be able to explore some sort of ruin.
Avengers Campus Is Part Of An International Storyline
The ideas for California and Paris’ Avengers Campus weren’t just plucked out of thin air.
According to Polygon, the story begins in Hong Kong Disneyland where Hydra attacks the Stark Expo in Hong Kong, before Thanos attacks.
This is where park visitors come in – when the Avengers realise that they need help, and thus they begin recruiting park-goers.
But wait, Thanos? Isn’t he…okay nevermind.
2nd Phase Of Avengers Campus To Be Announced
Here’s more reason to visit Disneyland again and again: These announcements are just the 1st phase of Avengers Campus.
Disney will be announcing the 2nd phase after Summer 2020 and we hear that there’s gonna be a lot of new attractions to look forward to like a Quinjet ride to Wakanda and even a new rollercoaster called Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind.
Hmm, perhaps they should change Disneyland’s name to Avengersland.
The soonest you can visit Avengers Campus at Avengersland, I mean Disneyland, is in Summer 2020 at California Disneyland. Better start saving up!
