Baby Shark Meet & Dance in Downtown East This Weekend to Throw Your Kids In

If there’s one thing that annoys you more than a train breakdown, here’s it: Baby Shark

(Holy Shark, it’s got 2.2 BILLION views now?!)

Play it during a train breakdown and you’ll have people seeing the creatures in Bird Box and starting to jump off the train.

But if you feel that way, you probably aren’t a parent of a baby or a toddler, because to these parents, Baby Shark is a godsend.

Want some me-time? Power up YouTube, loop Baby Shark for ten hours and your kid would disappear from your life safely for ten hours.

In fact, parents don’t Netflix & Chill: they Baby Shark & Chill.

If you want to express your gratitude to this song and physically thank them, you can this weekend.

Because they’re crawling out of YouTube like Sadako and swimming to the east of Singapore.

Downtown East E!Avenue

I won’t blame you if you’re not familiar with Downtown East, especially if you live in the west or north of Singapore.

If you think of it as a chalet, you’re half right: D’Resort, NTUC Club’s chalet which we used to call Costa Sands Resort, is housed next to Downtown East.

The whole Downtown East is like a one-stop mall, resort and recreation hub. While most of us are familiar with the chalet (and that invisible “stamp” on our hand), the place has got numerous dining outlets, cinema and even the popular water park Wild Wild Wet.

Housed within the mall is E!Avenue, a themed stretch of retail and dining paradise.

And this weekend, Baby Shark has swum to level 2 of this area.

Lest you’re unaware, Pinkfong is the creator of the popular Baby Shark.

This weekend, get to meet Pinkfong and Baby Shark because why not.

How Cute Are They?

Well, since this event is happening later today, we’ve no pictures of them yet but here’s a previous meet-and-greet event by Pinkfong and Baby Shark at Waterway Point (not the Baby Shark musical which is a paid event):

They’ve been touring shopping centres like a certain fatty yellow creature, so this probably won’t be the last stop.

Now we know what shopping malls have become: kids’ paradise, no?
