If you’ve always wanted a real adventure, here’s one that will just give you one in Singapore: Bedok Forest Adventure.
Promising to be Singapore’s first and only treetop obstacle course, I once went there as an NSF, and have never ever forgotten the experience. Unlike the wildly popular escape rooms, this isn’t something that is just mentally taxing: you’ll sweat a lot, scream a lot and have an experience of a lifetime simply because for the entirety of the adventure, you’re moving from one tree to another—at the top of the trees.
To give you a simple example, in one of the courses, you’ll have to move from one of the trees to another by stepping on logs that are connected by wires. Here’s an image of how scary exciting it is:

This is just one of the many courses you’ll have to overcome. I remember that as a NSF then, even when we as soldiers were trained to chiong sua like siao, the height does scare us: after all, when you look down, you’ll realize that you’re metres away from the ground, and only a cable (which is very safe, of course) keeps you from falling.
The highlights of the course are the long zip lines to fly over Bedok Reservoir (remember the zip line thingy that Running Man members go through in Dubai? Yeah, something like that) and the free fall that lasts that makes you swing like Tarzan. It’s like once you’ve gone through all the tough obstacles (35, to be exact), you’ll face the “final boss” of the free fall.

When I was there, after going through the courses, the free fall somehow became “chicken feet”—after all, I’ve been above ground for more than two hours, so what’s a free fall?
As my visit then was an event by my NS unit, I did not know the price and upon seeing the cost now, I just felt like going back again. According to their website, the grand course is at $46 per adult: affordable enough for a day of exciting screams that will also burn lots of calories
So, if you’ve been wanting to feel like Tarzan, what are you waiting for?
