Blackpink’s Lisa
Lalisa Manoban, known professionally as Lisa, is a Thai rapper, singer, dancer, and model who has risen to global stardom as a member of the South Korean girl group Blackpink. Born on March 27, 1997, in Buriram Province, Thailand, Lisa began her journey to fame at the young age of 13 when she auditioned for YG Entertainment in 2010.
She was the only applicant accepted from Thailand.
As a member of Blackpink, Lisa has contributed significantly to the group’s worldwide success since their debut in 2016.
She serves as the main dancer, lead rapper, and sub-vocalist of the group.
In September 2021, she released her debut single album “Lalisa,” which broke records by becoming the first album by a female K-pop soloist to sell over 736,000 copies in its first week in South Korea. The music video for the lead single “Lalisa” became the most-viewed music video by a solo artist on YouTube within 24 hours of release.
In addition, she is the most-followed K-pop artist on Instagram, with 104 million followers, and holds several Guinness World Records.
