BLACKPINK fans in Singapore will soon be able to watch Lisa’s solo journey on the big screen.
Always Lalisa, the first feature documentary centred on the Thai singer and actress, will screen here on 12, 14 and 17 October 2026.
The film will be shown at Golden Village Cineleisure and Century Square, as well as all eight Shaw Theatres outlets in Singapore. Selected Shaw cinemas will also offer IMAX screenings.
Tickets start at S$22.
Documentary Follows a Major Year in Lisa’s Solo Career
Directed by Sue Kim, Always Lalisa follows Lisa, whose full name is Lalisa Manobal, during a pivotal period when she began establishing her career outside BLACKPINK.
The documentary covers the making and release of her debut solo album Alter Ego, her acting debut in the third season of HBO’s The White Lotus, and preparations for her solo appearance at the 2025 Coachella music festival.
It also looks at the pressures involved in building an independent career and how Lisa navigates life outside the BLACKPINK spotlight.
Basically, for fans who have wondered what happens when one of the world’s biggest K-pop stars has to figure out what comes after being known primarily as part of one of the world’s biggest K-pop groups, this is the documentary answering that question.
Shaw Theatres currently lists the film with a runtime of one hour and 40 minutes.
Film Will Premiere at Toronto Film Festival Before Cinema Release
Before its worldwide theatrical run, Always Lalisa will have its world premiere as part of the Gala programme at the 2026 Toronto International Film Festival.
Its first TIFF screening is scheduled for 11 September at Roy Thomson Hall in Toronto.
Sony Music Vision announced on 2 September that the documentary would begin a limited worldwide run in cinemas and IMAX theatres on 12 October, with Trafalgar Releasing handling its theatrical distribution.
Singapore’s currently announced screenings are therefore on Monday, 12 October, Wednesday, 14 October, and Saturday, 17 October.
Those who would rather wait for the small screen will get another option too. Sony Music Vision said Always Lalisa will stream exclusively on YouTube Premium globally later in 2026, although an exact streaming date has not been announced.
