BLACKPINK’s Lisa achieved another milestone as her “ROCKSTAR” music video officially surpassed 300 million views on YouTube as of 19 May 2025.
This marks the Thai artist’s third solo video to reach this impressive benchmark.

The music video for “ROCKSTAR” was released on 28 Jun 2024 as the lead single from Lisa’s debut album Alter Ego. It took approximately 10 months and three weeks to hit the 300 million mark.
“ROCKSTAR” joins Lisa’s other successful solo releases that crossed the 300 million views threshold – the “LALISA” music video and the “MONEY” dance performance video.
The track has also gathered 400 million plays on Spotify, showing its strong performance across multiple platforms.
Lisa’s Alter Ego Album and Musical Identity
Besides “ROCKSTAR,” Lisa’s debut album Alter Ego features several other tracks including “Born Again,” “Elastigirl,” “Thunder,” “New Woman,” “FXCK UP THE WORLD,” “Rapunzel” and “Moonlit Floor (Kiss Me).”
Fans have particularly praised Lisa’s transformation into a rowdy persona for the “ROCKSTAR” music video, which set the tone for her debut album.
The lyric “Lisa, can you teach me Japanese?” has resonated well with listeners as a fitting addition to the track.
During a virtual discussion about Alter Ego, Lisa shared her creative vision: “I want people who listen to this album to feel confident and empowered. It’s fun, and it’s different. It’s a new Lisa—a different colour of Lisa.”
When questioned about her favorite alter ego from the album concept, she responded, “All of them! I think girls have different moods every day, so these five alter egos represent different sides of me.”

She also spoke about the challenges of creating a cohesive album: “I didn’t want the songs to be too different from each other. I had to find the middle ground—different, but not too much. And choosing the right title track was the most challenging part.”
Lisa’s Recent Activities and Collaborations
Beyond her solo music success, Lisa has been busy with various projects and appearances. She recently attended the MET Gala alongside fellow BLACKPINK members Jennie and Rose.
The artist has also expanded her musical portfolio through collaborations with other prominent artists. She worked with TYLA on the song “When I’m With You” and joined forces with Maroon 5 for the track “Priceless.”
