Driver Statements
Mr Lim, the 50-year-old BMW owner, claimed that the car in front did not signal and was driving slowly, prompting his decision to overtake.
He mentioned that as he accelerated to overtake, the vehicle in front suddenly turned right into Jalan Tari Lilin, causing the vehicles to collide.
The driver of the other car, who wished to remain anonymous, provided a different account.
He stated that the BMW had already overtaken a taxi earlier, and when he was about to make his turn, “the BMW suddenly appeared from behind,” resulting in his car’s right side being hit.
This driver confirmed he was not injured and said that after parking his car at his nearby house, he returned to the accident scene and stated that everything would be handed over to the police for investigation.
