The body of a 69-year-old man was discovered floating in the Singapore River on the morning of 13 Nov 2025.
The police received a call for assistance at about 9am. The body was found in the waters off Queen Elizabeth Walk, a promenade within Esplanade Park.
A Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) paramedic pronounced the man dead at the scene after his body was retrieved from the water.
A police tent and several police officers were present at the location.
Police Investigation Underway
A witness, Grace, told news portal Stomp that she did not see or hear anything unusual when she passed by the area.
Based on preliminary investigations, the police do not suspect foul play. The case is believed to have been classified as an unnatural death.
Police investigations are ongoing.
In May this year, a 65-year-old man was found dead in the Singapore River near Great World.
His body was retrieved at noon.
