The 36-year-old father had taken his son on a quick errand from their home in Kampung Berembang to a hardware store in Kampung Tempoyang, traveling in their Proton Saga.
After completing their shopping at the hardware store, the father pulled over to the side of the road to answer an incoming phone call.
During this brief roadside stop, the toddler managed to exit the vehicle through the left rear window, which had been left completely open.

The toddler was spotted standing by himself by the roadside, visibly bleeding from his facial wounds.
A concerned passerby who noticed the injured child immediately alerted authorities about the situation and took the boy to the Padang Tengku police station.
