The wife, whose identity has not been released by authorities, confessed to the crime during questioning.
According to local media reports, police believe the woman acted out of “jealousy and rage” after catching her husband watching adult films.
The woman admitted to not only killing her husband but also cutting off his genitals, adding them to a bean stew and eating the dish.
Investigators have not confirmed whether other people unknowingly consumed the stew containing human remains.
Recent Pattern of Similar Crimes
This gruesome murder follows a similar case from March when 60-year-old Celso Marques Ferreira was found dead in Peruibe, a beach resort south of Sao Paulo.
Ferreira’s body was discovered in a town square with his penis and part of his heart removed.
A blood-stained note left at the crime scene pointed to a suspect known as “gringa,” later identified as 65-year-old Josefa Lima de Sousa.
Sousa confessed to the crime after being arrested alongside her partner and claimed she attacked Ferreira because he was a child abuser.

She told police she had cooked and eaten the victim’s penis and heart after removing them.
Another case occurred last year in Baguio City, Philippines, when a 55-year-old woman sliced off her sleeping husband’s penis with a 10-inch knife.
The attack happened after the husband allegedly said another woman’s name during intimate relations.
Neighbors rushed the injured man to hospital, but doctors were unable to reattach the severed organ.
The wife was detained by Baguio City Police on suspicion of mutilation and did not attempt to flee the scene.
