Woman Warns People on TikTok of Man Offering $9,000 for Bukkake-Themed Photoshoot

Have you ever just been going about your day, scrolling through social media and procrastinating your work, when a message notification from a stranger pops up and leaves you dumbfounded?

It’s unfortunately not a foreign concept to many social media users.

Another day, another creep hiding behind the screen to report to the police.

Or, in this case, a creep hiding behind the lens of a camera and a skewed perception of art.

TikToker Warns Women Of Man

Hey, call TikTok the disease of millennials all you want, but there’s no denying that the platform’s useful for spreading PSAs with its algorithms that ensure things go viral real quick.

Valerie Tan, also known as valeriebubbletea on the platform, shared a video showing a certain Instagram message she received on 11 June.

I mean, there are many weirdos out there who sometimes send shady messages, but this one must’ve taken the cake.

The message in question featured a photographer asking her if she was willing to partake in a photoshoot to be added to his private collection for a whopping S$9,000 for three hours.

This actually sounds like a good deal until you realise that the photoshoot concept the photographer was interested in pursuing involves bukkake.

In case you’re unfamiliar with it, it’s not the name of some Japanese food.

The term, which means splashing in Japanese, usually involves a bunch of men gathering around a woman to, well, ejaculate on her face.

So you can only imagine how creeped out one would be to receive such a request.

At first, thinking that it was a weird and funny photoshoot proposal, she uploaded the video, but to her surprise, more women came forward in the comments to attest that they also experienced the same thing.

She then realised that this was potentially “more dangerous than it seemed” after seeing 10 or so other women have received the message as well.

On 21 June, Monday, Tan thus posted again on TikTok with more “receipts” on the shady offer and photographer, warning women to be careful in a more serious manner.

“This is not actually a photoshoot. This guy is inviting you to do, like, porn,” she said.

Stories From Other Women Come To Light

Fitness trainer Ivy Ng also shared her experience of receiving a photoshoot proposal from the same guy via email instead of on her Instagram stories, which Tan also featured in her second TikTok video.

It seems as if this guy’s been trying to find models who are actually willing to do the shoot for a few months now, or for whoever knows how long, for the email was sent on 20 March.

The terms of the shoot were the same as what was proposed to Tan as well.

However, Ng decided to find out more about the bizarre request by replying to the man with several questions about the details of the shoot.

As if it couldn’t get any weirder, which would be a difficult thing to top, it actually did.

For starters, the man replied that a total of 60 men would be involved in the shoot.

That’s a surefire way to scare women off if the proposal didn’t already.

Some kudos to him for still thinking about social distancing measures, though – he promised that the men would enter the room for the shoot in groups of six to adhere to the permitted group size of eight at the time.

They would also, apparently, be made to undergo testing for STDs prior to the shoot.

With all considerations taken into place, the photographer offered Ng a total of S$22,500 for it.

Ng said that although many women have been harassed, not all would feel comfortable speaking out about it, and some may even be unsure whether certain incidents are causes for concern despite feeling uncomfortable about it.

“No one should be made to feel uncomfortable or victimised, especially because of our gender or sexual orientation,” she added.

As a result, she shared that she had already made a police report on 30 March, with the police informing her that they had found the perpetrator and warned him on 22 May.

The police also commented that they are currently looking into the matter following the report.

FYI, if someone takes obscene photographs to supply and distribute them to others, that person can face up to two years of jail and a fine of S$2,000, similar to what happened with the SG Nasi Lemak guys.

So don’t play around with whatever you leave in strangers’ message inboxes.
