Reader Bao: (sipping bubble tea) Are bak kwa stalls finally closed?
No. All McDonald’s outlets, for the first time in Singapore history, have closed its shutters.
Which could only mean one thing:
Because you can take the fast food away from a Singaporean, but you can never take a Singaporean away from the fast food.

Burger King & KFC Responded Differently After McDonald’s Closed All Outlets
With a sudden closure of McDonald’s, there’s also a sudden shortage of burgers.

The clown’s best friend, a certain Colonel, took it to Facebook to suddenly announce nothing:
Here’s the post lest you can’t read it (though you’re not missing anything):
Dear Guests,
We appreciate your support for KFC during this time. For your safety and that of our staff, please ensure you are masked up and keep a safe distance when you are in our restaurants.
Kindly note that starting from 20 April, all delivery and takeaway orders via online will be served Contactless to minimize contact.
At KFC, we take the safety of our guests and staff seriously. Our staff is required to take their temperature twice daily, clean and sanitize their hands frequently.
With the recent increase in demand for Takeaway and Delivery, we seek your understanding and patience as our team continues to do our best in serving you the yummy fried chicken we all love.
Thank you very much and let’s stay safe together.

Lest you can’t read:
Dear Guests,
Our kitchens are experiencing a high volume due to the recent increase in orders. Delivery and waiting times are expected to be longer. We seek your kind understanding and patience as our crew works hard to serve up your favourite BK meals. While waiting, please stay safe by practising social distancing and wear your mask while in BK stores.
Thank you and stay safe!
They didn’t mention why there’s an increase in orders; maybe we all just feel like having Burger King all of a sudden.
