In case you didn’t know what I was rapping, check out ShiGGa Shay’s rap here. It got stuck in my head after I read the article title that was sent to me.
Have you ever had one of those moments? Maybe you want to grab a quick bite or drink before rushing off to work. Or you’re not really hungry during your lunch break and just want something small to fill your tummy.
Then, you think to yourself. Should I get a kopi siew dai like a true Singaporean? Or should I jiak kantang a bit and get a snack pie?
Well, choose no longer.
It appears to be the trend nowadays for all types of food to be mixed with one another.
Nothing really surprises us anymore. Next thing we know, people are going to start putting bubble tea pearls as a topping on souffles. Oh, wait, that already exists too.
Burger King’s next new menu item is no exception to this trend.
What do you get when you combine kopi siew dai, one of Singapore’s favourite coffeeshop drinks, and a snack pie, one of the staple fast-food snacks?
It’s not a joke or a riddle. You probably guessed it already from our article title.
Kopi Siew Dai Pie
Burger King Singapore has recently released the sequel to their previous fan-favourite Teh Tarik pie.
Introducing the Kopi Siew Dai pie, whereby they have brightened up snack pies with the rich and aromatic taste of the kopi siew dai we all know and love.
If you prefer a pie with more exotic fillings, this may just be to your liking.
Its thick and creamy texture looks so flavourful, I can’t wait to end work and go grab one for myself.
And it’s only $1.20. What an appietising deal, am I right?
What if this alone doesn’t fill your snack stomach? Fret not, there’s more!
Chilli Cheese Bites
Being an Asian, you’ve got to love all things savoury and spicy.
Cheese? *nod* Chilli? *double nod*
Yeah, you’re going to love this next one too, then.
Burger King packs yet another punch to its competitors in the fast food industry, packing thick, savoury, and flavourful cheese spiced up with exotic jalapeno and green bell peppers into bite-sized pieces for all who love to pamper themselves with snacks.
This snack is just slightly pricier compared to the pies at $3.50. But hey, for such a delectable delight, a price as cheap as cheese-fifty is giving me the chillis.
Pardon the horrible puns.
Just writing this is making me really hungry. I really need my lunch break now.
Go on and grab one too; we’ll enjoy it together telepathically.
