Thanks to Vesak Day, a long weekend is coming next week, and we all know what that means. It’s time to organise a night out with your friends next Thursday (1 June), the eve of Vesak Day.
Bus and MRT operators have your back. They’ll be extending their services so you can hang out with your friends till late without spending a fortune on a Grab ride home.
Don’t say Goody Feed buay brother—here are all the extended bus & MRT timings collated in one place for you.
MRT Timings Extended Up Till 12:30 am on the Eve of Vesak Day
Train services on all lines, including the North-South Line, East-West Line, Circle Line, Thomson-East Coast Line, North-East Line and Downtown Line, will extend until late on the eve of Vesak Day.
However, those staying along the North-South Line and East-West Line have more to be happy about than Circle Line and Thomson-East Coast Line dwellers.
The last North-South and East-West Line train will depart from City Hall at 12:30 am.
For the Circle Line, the last train headed for HarbourFront will depart Dhoby Ghaut at 11:55 pm. The last train headed for Dhoby Ghaut will depart from HarbourFront at 11:30 pm.
For the newly-opened Thomson-East Coast Line, the last train headed for Woodlands North will depart from Gardens by the Bay at 12:25 am. The last train for Gardens by the Bay will depart from Woodlands North at 12:02 am.
Train services on the North-East Line, Sengkang-Punggol LRT and the Downtown Line will also be extended by approximately half an hour. That means 30 minutes of extra time to catch up on the latest gossip with your friends.
For the North-East Line, the last train headed for Punggol will depart from HarbourFront at 12:30 am. The last train headed for HarbourFront will depart from Punggol at 12:02 am.
Those trying to catch the Sengkang-Punggol LRT home will have extra time to hang out with their friends. The LRT service will run until after the last North-East Line train arrives at Sengkang and Punggol stations, which is estimated to be 1:06 am and 1:08 am, respectively.

For the Downtown line, the last train headed for Expo will depart from Bukit Panjang at 12:03 am. The last train headed for Bukit Panjang will leave from Expo at 12:04 am.
Unfortunately, there will not be an extension of train services for the Bukit Panjang LRT and Changi Airport services.
If you’re spending the eve of Vesak Day at Jewel, you’ll just have to sleep over at Starbucks.
Bus Services Extended Up Till 1:50 am on the Eve of Vesak Day
More of a bus taker? Fret not. Bus services are also extending their last bus timings.
The last bus for five bus services will depart from Choa Chu Kang Bus Interchange at 1:40 am. Selected bus services departing from Woodlands Integrated Transport Hub and Bukit Panjang Bus Interchange will also be extending their last bus timings to 1:25 am.
Multiple bus services departing from several bus interchanges across the island, including Bedok Bus Interchange and Yishun Bus Interchange, will also extend their last bus timings.
Those hanging out near Clementi Bus Interchange, Jurong East Bus Interchange, Bukit Batok Bus Interchange or Sembawang Bus Interchange can also expect extended last bus timings. The last bus departing from Jurong East Bus Interchanges takes the record here, leaving at 1:50 am.
Truly living up to “West side, best side”.
Several bus services operating at Pasir Ris Bus Interchange and Punggol Bus Interchange will also extend their last bus timings till slightly past 1 am.
