Steamboats are all in the frenzy right now, and many cafes are coming out with more methods and steamboat inventions to entice their customers and to get them to visit their restaurants!

For Flame Cafe, their steamboats are a little different. The cafe by day and steamboat restaurant by night features a 4-tiered Pagoda Steamboat selection that lets you enjoy cooking your steamboat ingredients in 4 various styles – steaming, dipping it in cheese, grilling and the bottom tier with 2 choices of steamboat base.
And here comes the interesting part
The first tier features the soup base. There, you can choose from 5 options – herbal tonic soup, clear chicken soup, ma la soup, tom yum soup, and yuan yang.
We opted for the yuan yang where we could choose 2 different soup bases and got the herbal tonic soup and tom yum soup. The tom yum soup was a little on the spicy side, so for those who can’t take the heat, you might want to opt out of that!
For those who love grilling your meat, you’ll fall in love with the second tier.
The third tier features the cheesy dip. Granted, the cheese dip used is a little thicker and you won’t be able to get the stringy fondue dip, but it still tastes as good!

The fourth tier will be perfect for anyone who loves seafood. Though it’s much smaller than the rest of the tiers, the size sits just nicely for those who are thinking of steaming crabs or prawns. The result? Juicy and succulent seafood that pairs so well with all the condiments available!

They might seem a little pricey at first, but it’s good for sharing between 2-3 pax! And trust me, their portions are HUGE. Even if you think that all these are not enough, you can also order extra portions from their a la carte menu. Psssst, they might even come out with a buffet pricing soon so do keep a look out!
Oh, and all their meats are already pre-marinated. So with sauces or not, it doesn’t really matter.
