If you head down to the Changi Airport Facebook Page now, you’d see some influencer-looking ladies standing in the middle of nowhere while another person accidentally took her image.
That’s a very typical Facebook page for a business, but look into the comment section and you’d find a goldmine.
For the lack of a better phrase, let’s just say that while the airport is now as empty as my wallet, its online counterpart is now filled with trolls.

People Started to Troll on Changi Airport FB Page After CAG Chairman Saga
Lest you’ve been living under a rock, here’s a recap of what happened recently.
Last year, an Indonesian foreign domestic worker was sentenced to 26 months’ jail after she was found guilty of stealing $34,000 worth of items from a family.
And it’s not just any family; it’s the family of Changi Airport Group chairman Liew Mun Leong.
Okay, so everything is goody except for the fact that the CAG Chairman has $34,000 worth of items in his house to be stolen while we only have $34 worth of items in our house, right?
No.
Last Friday (4 September), the foreign domestic worker, Ms Parti Liyani, was acquitted by a High Court in an appeal.
How it all happened would remind you of a Hong Kong drama: it involved the family appearing to have a motive to report Ms Parti to the police.
They did so to prevent her from making a complaint to MOM after the son allegedly got her to clean his office—which, by the way, is against the law as a domestic worker is a domestic worker, not an office cleaner.

As for the “stolen” items? Well, they appeared to be improper, too: according to Ms Parti, those items were either given to her or discarded items.
I would like to point out again that $34,000 is akin to an average man’s annual salary arh. Just saying ah.
With this revelation, you can bet that Changi Airport might need to bring back their PR team if they’ve just cancelled their contract with them.
