I‘m sure that many of you would be familiar with Chatterbox, one of the dining concepts by Mandarin Hotel which serves the renowned S$27++ chicken rice.
If you have always wanted to try the chicken rice there but have never been able to part with the money, well, now’s a chance for you to try it at only S$8!Â
Situated at the new Downtown Gallery Shenton Way, Chatterbox Express is an all-new concept by Mandarin Hotel which specialises in food served at the original Chatterbox at Mandarin Hotel – only at a cheaper price.

This allows working adults to have another alternative when it comes to lunch or dinner – which I guess is a life-saver for them considering all the expensive food around the area!
Plus, the restaurant has a cosy and comfortable setting, which makes it even more enticing for office workers alike to gather for lunch!
Chatterbox Chicken Rice at only S$8
Of course, one of the key items on the menu will be the iconic chicken rice. However, since this is an ‘Express’ concept, the chicken rice will only be sold at S$8.
Granted, the portions of the S$8 chicken rice is smaller than that of the one sold at S$27++, but for the price paid, the quality of chicken rice you get is pretty justifiable. Expect the usual tender chicken slides drizzled with the highly sought-after soya sauce, paired with fragrant chicken rice and its accompanying condiments.
Other local delights also available on the menuÂ
Other than the chicken rice, other local delights are also available at a sheer price of S$8 and some S$5. For example, you can get the Kolo Mee for S$8 which comes with pork belly slices, minced pork as well as a gorgeous poached egg.
