23-Year-Old Woman Dies After Car Crashes into Stationary Bus in Yishun

A 23-year-old woman has died after being involved in a collision between a car and a Tower Transit bus at the junction of Yishun Avenue 2 and Yishun Central 1 on 2 Aug 2025.

The accident occurred at approximately 5:35am. Police and the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) responded to the scene after receiving reports of the collision.

Three Casualties Rushed to Hospital After Early Morning Crash

The silver car struck the stationary bus from behind, shattering the vehicle’s windows and leaving its right-side doors ajar. SCDF officers attended to the emergency at the scene.

Three people were injured in the crash. The 23-year-old female passenger was unconscious when transported to Khoo Teck Puat Hospital. She later succumbed to her injuries at the medical facility.

A 47-year-old male car driver and another female passenger, aged 20, remained conscious during transport to the same hospital.

Tower Transit confirmed the bus was stationary at the time of impact, as it was waiting for the traffic lights to turn green. No passengers were on board the bus during the accident.

Police Launch Investigation Into Fatal Collision Circumstances

Police investigations into the fatal collision are ongoing. Authorities have not released further details about what caused the rear-end crash.
