Do you know who Carrie Tan is?
For those who follow the local political scene, Ms Carrie Tan is a Member of Parliament under the Nee Soon Group Representation Constituency (GRC).
If you are into the healing scene, you may have instead come across Ms Tan as a healing coach or leadership coach.
Whatever the case, you may be interested to know that Ms Tan is now part of the Gushcloud International umbrella.
This means that her social media and other public representation will be managed by this talent agency.
Here is what this is about.
Carrie Tan Signs With Gushcloud International for Online Presence
It is not uncommon for businesses or people in the public eye to engage agencies and other professionals to help curate their online presence.
By leveraging on the expertise and knowledge of others, one can more easily build their own personal brand and draw attention to their professional services.
This may be one of the reasons why Ms Tan signed with Gushcloud International, as announced in a press release by the agency.
For those who are unaware, Gushcloud International is a content and commerce company powered by the creator economy.
It has its headquarters in Singapore and manages and represents multiple business personalities.
Some people managed by Gushcloud International, which you may recognise, include names such as Jamie Chua, LaToya Forever and NubNub.
In celebration of this partnership with Ms Tan, Gushcloud Co-Founder and Group CEO Althea Lim says that the team is “delighted” to add Ms Tan to their talent pool.
According to Ms Lim, Ms Tan “embodies positive influence and is a true changemaker in Singapore and beyond”.
Ms Lim also emphasises that Ms Tan’s passion for self and leadership development aligns perfectly with Gushcloud’s mission of empowering talents and shaping their personal brands.
It seems that Ms Tan is also very pumped for this new partnership.
Through the agency, she expressed her enthusiasm to join the Gushcloud International team, saying that she “firmly believe[s] in the power of personal growth and self leadership as the key to catalysing positive change in society”
She wants to tap on the network and expertise that Gushcloud provides to share and spread the knowledge and wisdom she gained from working with individuals to a larger audience so everyone can benefit.
Here’s wishing Ms Tan and Gushcloud International a fruitful partnership.
This Is Meant to Be for Her Healing and Changemaker Capacity
According to the press release, Gushcloud International is collaborating with Ms Tan to “build her online presence and highlight her role as a dynamic healing coach and changemaker personality”.
In other words, she is engaging the professional services of this agency for her personal life, which is separate from her political career.
This partnership will include “managing [Ms] Tan’s social media platforms (from content strategy to community engagement) and providing client representation, enabling her to effectively engage with audiences and expand her reach”.
It is to be strictly for Ms Tan’s “professional capacity as a transformative & healing coach via TikTok, Instagram, and on YouTube”.
The handle to keep a lookout for will be “ThriveWithCarrieT”.
Hopefully, this also means more business for her leadership and healing coaching!
Gushcloud International further highlights that Ms Tan’s political work “featured on Instagram and Facebook” under the “Carrie Tan Cares” name is “managed by volunteers” and not by them.
Ms Tan also drove the point home when speaking to Today, saying that she wants to “make it clear that [she has] always run [her] MP and constituency social media accounts [herself], with the help of Nee Soon South volunteers” and she has no plans to change that status quo.
Carrie Tan’s Career as a Healer and Leadership Coach
For those who want to know more about Ms Tan outside her political role, she acts as a coach, speaker and trainer who “empowers individuals to achieve self-awareness, self-leadership, authentic communication, emotional awareness and inner mastery, for change making in their own lives, teams and organisations”.
To inspire others, she “frequently contributes to leadership, philanthropy, and policy conferences”.
If you choose to engage Ms Tan as a coach, what you can expect is an individualized approach to “facilitate [your] journey of introspection, inquiry and healing” through techniques such as “compassionate inquiry, presencing, mind-body-emotion awareness, and mindfulness techniques”.
That sounds good, doesn’t it?
Carrie Tan Is Also Active in the Social Work Scene in Singapore
Apart from being on the political scene and being a healer and leader, Ms Tan is also very dedicated to the cause of social mobility.
She has been in this space for at least ten years, during which she founded Daughters Of Tomorrow, a charity organisation facilitating livelihood opportunities for underprivileged women.
Her philanthropy work also includes founding the RISE Community in 2021.
This community “supports marginalised men to recover and rehabilitate themselves and to regain livelihoods and dignity”.
Ms Tan’s efforts to make society a better place have not gone unnoticed.
Her accolades include being selected from among 500 young leaders in the region to introduce former President of the United States of America, Barack Obama, in Kuala Lumpur as part of the Young Southeast Asian Leaders Initiative.
The former president also singled Ms Tan out in the White House as a “young person who gives him hope”.
Can you imagine the former president of one of the world’s powerhouses knowing your name?
Ms Tan is also the recipient of the Honoree Award in the Children, World Peace, and Human Rights at the Ten Outstanding Young Persons Award by Junior Chambers International in Singapore.
