Normally, when you think of Carrie Wong, the pretty girl-next-door image comes to mind.

However, don’t be fooled by her image because when it comes to the grind, this Singapore actress can do it too.
In the press conference for her new drama Shero, Wong plays the owner of a female bodyguard company.
Because she’s the boss of the company and, of course, have to be the best at her job, she had to film a lot of action scenes.
“Physically-draining” was the least of it.
Her role requires her to film a lot of fight scenes, and she reportedly did 70% of her own action scenes in the drama.
Calling the filming process “pretty tough”, Wong added that she was the only one among the actresses with no martial arts background and yet has to be the “best of them”.
Carrie Wong’s New Nickname: Tofu
During the course of filming, Wong suffered through a lot of injuries.

As she’s very fair, bruises and scratches show up easily on her skin. She was also known for falling and getting very easily on set.
This resulted in her getting the nickname “Tofu” on set. Whenever anyone called for her, they do not call her by name anymore.
Instead, it’s “Tofu, time for lunch” or “Tofu, come quickly”.
She also had to film a fight scene even though she pulled her upper right thigh muscles.
Despite all that, she did not take MC out of consideration of the filming period.

Impressive Fighting Moves

It showed her expertly spinning her entire body around an assailant’s body and throw him hard to the side.
According to Wong, the actresses learnt to do the fight scenes throughout the filming process.
