Sometimes, I look up the Internet and find myself losing faith in humanity.
โThis woman fed a baby alcohol? Omg, whatโs the world coming to? Next thing youโre telling me, thereโll be some singer raising a bear in her flat and claiming itโs a dog.โ
But then, Iโll stumble upon something that makes me believe in humanity. Once again. And this article youโre about to read?
Itโs not gonna make you restore faith in this damned race, but itโs going to make you feel that humans arenโt quite so bad after all.
Cars Giving Way to Ambulance With Bike Clearing the Path is Satisfying to Watch
Yesterday, Facebook page ROADS.sg posted a rather intriguing video on the platform.
In the 2:01 video, a motorcyclist asks the driver of an ambulance, which was stuck in traffic, whether he needed help. When the ambulance driver responded with a โyesโ, the motorcyclist took it upon himself to clear the third lane for the ambulance driver.
What followed was a minute plus of sheer satisfaction, as we witness a civic-minded motorcyclist go out of his way to clear the path for a helpless ambulance driver.
And itโs satisfying to see cars moving out of the way fastly. Singapore people got heart one!
But of course, as every K-Drama would invariably tell you, thereโs bound to be an obstacle in the way. And in this particular scenarioโฆ
The black vehicle that guest stars at the 1:34 mark is just that.
Cutting into the lane which the motorcyclist was trying so fervently to clear, the black vehicle proceeds to hog the lane for a further 20 seconds.
And it wasnโt until the motorcyclist, evidently pissed off, switched to the second lane and back that the black vehicle was finally gone from view.
โWas riding along CTE and spotted this ambulance caught in heavy traffic. When I was alongside, I asked if they needed to rush, they said YES,โ the driver, Syed Al-Qudree said.
โI assisted them by going ahead to inform drivers to move left. Then there is this special driver..โ
Wanna take a look at the special driver yourself? Well, here you go.

Netizens react
As you mightโve expected, the comments section was full of praise for the involved motorcyclist.
Though some did point the finger at the black vehicleโฆ
And suggest how the act mightโve stemmed from a bout of leniency in the ruling system.
Whatever it was, however, I think the key takeaway here is pretty simple.
Be like the motorcyclist, and not the driver of the black vehicle.
Because in the end, you donโt wanna face the penalty.
