Where’s the most painful place to get kicked?
I’ll skip the popular answers. But you’ve got to admit, being kicked in the eye surely hurts.
As Singaporean actor Leon Jay Williams found out the hard way, according to 8days.
6YO Daughter Caused Father to Almost Go Blind by Doing a Cartwheel; Surgery had to be Performed immediately
As Williams explained on Instagram, he was inadvertently kicked in the eye when his six-year-old daughter, Harper, decided to exercise her gymnast ambitions by doing a cartwheel.
Her leg landed, well, on his left eye. Oops.
At the time of the incident, Williams experienced “a bit of blurred vision”, and decided to consult an ophthalmologist a few days later when his symptoms had not subsided.
Luckily he did, because apparently, his retina had been torn and needed immediate surgery to prevent “the whole retina” from “dislodg[ing]”. This is a complicated but no less scary way to say, he’d go blind had he put off seeking medical attention for a few more days.
Even after treatment, Williams posts that he’d suffer from blurred vision “for a few weeks at least”.
He also includes, “there is a chance that it might never be 100 per cent healed.”
So, lesson learnt: if you ever have the misfortune get kicked in the eye, or suffer some other apparently minor eye injury, go find a doctor.
As he puts it, “we only have one set of eyes and they are not replaceable”.

Who Is Leon Jay Williams?
For those of us who aren’t so acquainted with popular culture, here’s what you need to know about the actor.
While Singaporean, Williams is best known for his activities in Taiwan and Mainland China, where his fluency in Mandarin is put to good use, according to MyDramaList.
A lot of us can’t relate.
He is famous for starring in various Taiwanese dramas, such as Green Forest, My Home, and La Robe de Mariee des Cieux. Just don’t ask why a Taiwanese drama would have such a long French name.
As an idol actor, he is frequently subject to media gossip—most recently when the identity of his wife came under intense speculation.
The couple appreciates privacy and little is known about his wife as a result, other than her name Joyce and her Taiwanese nationality. Apparently, however, this secrecy led to “reports keep assuming every other female [he] ha[s] a photo with is [his] wife”.
He lambasted stalkers in a scalding public Instagram post, which is really no surprise. It’s almost like those distant relatives asking you when you are getting married, but on a daily basis.
