When Singaporeans learned that the government would be giving out $100 worth of Community Development Council (CDC) vouchers, we were certainly chuffed.
After all, these vouchers could be used to redeem products and food at heartland merchants and hawkers.
The scheme was put in place not just to help consumers, but the heartland businesses that have struggled during the COVID-19 pandemic.

You can watch this video to know more about the scheme:
There was just one issue: who’s part of the scheme and who’s not?
Well, now there’s a platform to help you with that.
There’s Now a New Platform to Check Which Merchants Near You Accept CDC Vouchers
Enter CDC Go Where, a website that allows you to find the nearest participating stalls and merchants in the scheme.
The new platform was launched by the five CDCs yesterday (23 Dec) in partnership with Government Technology Agency to make the redemption process easier for Singaporeans.
Now, instead of searching for a particular business or stall, all you have to do is enter your postal code, much like the Token Go Where website.
Then, a list of the nearest participating merchants – both businesses and hawkers – will appear.
Alternatively, if you’re in another part of the country, you could look out for hawker stalls and heartland businesses with this decal:

How to Use Vouchers
Each household with at least one Singaporean will be able to claim $100 in vouchers. The vouchers can be used until 31 Dec 2022.
To collect them, have one member of your household head to this link, and collect the voucher digitally through Singpass.
A link will then be sent to that household member’s registered phone number, and they can then share that same link with other members of his household.
To use the vouchers, which come in denominations of $2, $5, and $10, simply:
- Click the CDC vouchers link
- Choose an amount
- Show the QR code to the merchant who will scan it
Similarly, those using hard copy vouchers need simply present the QR code on their vouchers for the merchants to scan.

Alternatively, if you’re unable to collect the vouchers digitally, you can head to community clubs or centres for assistance, where they’ll help you print out hard copies.
The authorities are still inviting merchants to participate in the scheme, so those who have not registered and are interested in doing so can register here.
A CDC Ambassador will get in touch with them to guide them through the registration process.
