Personally, I’m a huge fan of Milo Peng.

I drink it every single day and I can honestly say that at this point, it is an essential component of my daily life.

And I’m sure I’m not the only one.

It’s a pretty popular drink in Singapore, and I’m sure most of you would not hesitate to go down if I told you that there was a milo van outside your window right now.

Don’t check, I’m just playing. But you get my point, everyone loves milo.

However, this man’s love for milo is so strong that he went into a complete rage and thew a chair on the road when he could not get himself a Milo peng.

Man Throws Chair On The Road Since He Couldn’t Get Milo Peng

On Tuesday, 1 September, a man walked into a coffee shop at 820 Tampines Street 81 around 6pm.

He was wearing a white tee-shirt and black shorts and appeared to be in his 20s.

He went up to the drink stall and ordered himself a Milo peng. However, he was rejected as he did not have the amount ($1.60) needed to pay for it.

That’s When Things Went Wrong

“I told him that a cup cost $1.60, he said that he had no money, and I said that [I] could not sell. He suddenly shouted angrily, picked up the chair and threw it in front of the stall,” said one of the drink stall owners to Lianhe Zaobao.

The man appeared to be very hysterical as he continued to shout while walking towards the railing by the side of the road before he picked up one of the chairs nearby and hurled it onto the road.

Luckily, the vehicles on the road managed to avoid the chair and no one was hurt.

Later on, a motorist went to retrieve the chair from the middle of the road.

Another man tried to get him to leave the coffee shop while he was walking towards the street, but this caused him to get angry and throw an incense burner metal container onto the road.

He Was Mentally Unstable

After a while, a domestic helper arrived at the coffee shop, looking for the man.

It was only then that the drink stall cashier realised that the man was mentally unstable. He also recognised the domestic helper, as he would often see her at his stall buying Milo peng 3 to 4 times a week.

Some criticised the man for putting others’ lives at risk, while others sympathised with him and his family.

Thankfully, the coffee shop was not too busy during the incident and no one got injured by anything that he threw.

Hopefully, the man is in a more stable condition now and under the care of his family members.
