Do you know that cheetahs are technically cats?

They belong to the same family—the only difference is that cheetahs are big and scary, while cats are small and cute.

So what’ll happen when a cheetah does what a cat do?

This happened.

Cheetah, The Speedy Big Cat

If you’ve been to the Singapore Zoo, you’d know that “domestic” cheetahs (or any big cats in the zoo) behave like…pigs.

They sit around, laze around and just wait for food every day.

However, a cheetah can theoretically run up to 112 kmh; that’s more than the speed limit of our expressway.

Unlike cats that live in solitary, cheetahs like to live together to defend their “territories”. Our cute little cats defend territories well; for example, over at our office, a cat would roam around the area, and if it thinks that you’re in its territory, it’ll bump its head on you to “spread” its smell on you, essentially telling you that you’re part of the territory.

So, Twitter user nekooyaji likes taking images of the animals in Tama Zoological Park, a zoo in Tokyo. He has taken some candid images of the cheetahs, like this:

…or this, which I’m sure is not Photoshopped:

But two days ago, he posted this and it went viral.

Super viral, in fact, with over 85K retweets when his other photo albums usually get less than 50 retweets.

And it’s all because of this:

That face. It could well be the cutest image of 2019. Heck, I’ll say it’s the cutest image of the entire century.

Apparently, it seems like our dear cheetah was stuck in the tree, but it eventually made its way out.

Suffice to say, it wins the Internet and became a meme sensation in record time.

And someone even turned it into a vector that we’re pretty sure would be the next Telegram stickers.

I don’t know about you, but I feel like going to the Zoo now.
