There is much we have to thank for amidst the outbreak of the COVID-19 that has engulfed the world.
Even though more and more cases have been announced every day, spirits remain high on our sunny island and everyone seems to be doing their part to contribute in some way.
For instance, masks were spotted being given out at Punggol MRT for free.

And now, someone is thanking the frontline medical staff who are risking their lives every day in the battle against the novel coronavirus:
Chicken Rice Stall Owner Delivers Chicken Rice To Hospitals For Free
In a Facebook post, Mr Daniel Tan, 40, from OK Chicken Rice announced his idea to carry out a “nCov Medical Team Appreciation Meal” campaign of sorts.
“We wish to thank our medical team working at the front lines especially in these trying times by organizing a “cheer-up” campaign for them!”
“Join us by sponsoring $3 for each package that we deliver to them! (Balance 50% & Delivery charges waived)”
The usual price that he charges for each packet of Chicken Rice is $5.90 at his stall at Ang Mo Kio Avenue 8.
How it works is that individuals can donate money via PayNow or QR provided and leave a comment “Frontline Heroes”.
They can then send a screenshot to the number provided and a receipt will be given with proof that the purchase and delivery have been made.

They also regularly update their Facebook page regarding the orders that have come in.
Doing Well
The initiative is reportedly doing so well that he receives a notification of a donation coming in every 30 seconds.
“Every 30 seconds, I see a new notification of a donation coming in. It’s almost become a full-time job,” said Mr Tan.
He delivers the Chicken Rice to places like the National Centre for Infectious Diseases (NCID), Khoo Teck Puat Hospital and Tan Tock Seng Hospital (TTSH).
But it’s not all roses because Mr Tan mentioned that his business at his chicken rice stall has fallen by 50% ever since the novel coronavirus outbreak began.

That said, Mr Tan’s schedule is full of plans to deliver Chicken Rice to hospitals for the next 10 days.
