To me, China’s many things: a nation with limitless potential, monkey brains and numerous Tik Tok videos.
Their ill-disguised habit of copy and paste.
Take, for example, these totally original prototypes:

Heck, even games (and consoles) aren’t spared.
Indeed, one can’t help but wonder: “Why exactly does China like copying so much?” And…
Will they actually stop spamming that ctrl + v combination?
Because as it is…
It seems they’re at it again.
Architectural Marvel
According to Asia Times, China’s building quite the architectural marvel in Chongqing, China, right now.
With an “accordion-shaped” curved pathway (that measures 300m in length, 30m in width and 22.5m in height) stacked atop four towers, the building promises to be an exciting one.
And if you don’t believe me, just look at it!

Isn’t it just a beauty? It’s so beautiful it rivals that of MBS’ own architectural design!
…
Wait a minute.
Forgive me for being wrong, but doesn’t the building look exactly like MBS?

What can I say? We might have our differences, but Netizens are admittedly pretty sharp-eyed.
But wait; there might be a legitimate reason for this one
For one, this upcoming grand structure was built by CapitaLand, which is headquartered and listed in Singapore.
For two, the building was designed by Safdie Architects, who were the same designers for Marina Bay Sands.
And for three, it seems that Singapore’s aware of this particular ‘copy’. Perceived as a symbol of strong ties between China and Singapore, the megastructure will be hosting the Sino- Singapore Collaboration Centre.
So yeah. China might have copied a lot of stuff ‘without permission’, but this one certainly seems to be legit.

It appears that this up-and-coming building isn’t the first ‘replication’ of MBS. For somewhere in Abu Dhabi, this grand marvel stands.
And over in Abu Dhubai, the Gate Towers look upon the thriving landscape.
Though we can’t help but wonder:
“Is this The Parent Trap, building edition?”
