We all have that one friend who we avoid at all cost because he/she is a pain in the ass. But can you imagine moving in and living with them for 10 years?

To be precise, he was living with 8 needles in his butt, which turned out to be a pain in the ass for him.
How It All BeganÂ
For the past decade, Chen, 55, had lived with a literal pain in the butt. He would describe the pain as a sharp stinging sensation in the right part of his behind. The pain was most prominent when he ran.
However, due to his hectic work schedule, he never got it checked out. But when the pain worsened, he finally decided to see a doctor after 10 years.
So It Was You…Â
Nope, he wasn’t dying of cancer.
An x-ray of his backside showed not one, not two, but EIGHT needles embedded deep in his right butt.
The eighth needle was probably hidden somewhere.Â
Some of the needles were stuck in his active muscle, which was why the pain was getting worse as the constant movements from the muscle had caused the needles to be pushed quite deeply in.
The doctor advised him to undergo surgery as soon as possible.

Needless to say, the surgery was a success and all eight needles were removed.

Story of how the needles found a home to stay for 10 yearsÂ
According to Chen’s interview with Xiaoxiang Morning Post, he had fallen into a pile of rubbish at work. In that pile was a bag full of embroidery needles.
He was aware that some needles had pierced his butt but he thought that he had pulled them all out and thought nothing more of that incident.

Gotta give it to him though, that was a pretty brave move – pulling out needles from your own butt.
Chen has since been discharged and is expected to make a full recovery.
Not the first timeÂ
There were other instances when needles were in bodies – be it by accident or on purpose.
According to Mirror, doctors were baffled when 4 needles were found in a 17-year-old boy’s chest, with one of them having pierced his heart.
And just last month, a boy stuck a 10cm needle into his genitalia in an attempt to keep himself awake to do his homework.
