Gruesome Discovery in Central Pattaya Apartment
At 11:30 AM on 26 Apr 2025, Police Lieutenant Kittipong Thaengkan, Deputy Inspector of Pattaya City Police Station, responded to a report of a fatal incident at an apartment in Soi Arunothai in Central Pattaya.
Officials from Pattaya Pattamakun Hospital, The Pattaya News team, and rescuers from the Sawang Boriboon Foundation accompanied the police to the scene.
The victim’s body was discovered on the second floor of a five-story apartment building. Ms Waranan, who had undergone gender-affirming surgery, was found naked on her back in the bathroom with horrific injuries.
Her body showed extensive trauma, having been slashed from the neck down to the groin. Her heart had been removed and placed outside her body, and her left lung was missing.
Despite the brutal nature of the crime, the bathroom had been cleaned, leaving minimal blood traces.
Chinese Tourist Arrested After Witness Reports Violent Altercation
The room where the murder took place had been rented by 42-year-old Tongyuan Fu, a Chinese national who had entered Thailand as a tourist.
According to Ms Da, a 60-year-old apartment caretaker, Fu had rented the room at 9:00 AM on 25 Apr 2025 for a one-week stay. His passport indicated he had visited Thailand 2-3 times previously.
Witnesses confirmed that Fu brought the victim to the apartment on Friday night (25 Apr). At around 2:00 AM, Ms Nok, a 61-year-old housekeeper who lives in the same apartment complex, heard a violent argument between the two.

Ms Nok told police she heard the victim cry out in Thai, “Let me go! Don’t hurt me!” This was followed by loud banging sounds, footsteps, and the sound of high heels.
The disturbance continued for nearly an hour before silence fell.
In the morning, when no one answered knocks on the door, Ms Nok used a spare key to enter the room and discovered the victim’s body in a pool of blood. She immediately informed her employer and called the police.
CCTV footage revealed Fu leaving through the apartment’s back exit at 6:00 AM on 26 Apr with a suitcase. Police coordinated with Immigration authorities to prevent his escape, and Fu was subsequently arrested at Suvarnabhumi Airport while attempting to flee to China.
The suspect is currently being held for further investigation at Pattaya City Police Station as authorities continue their inquiry into this brutal crime.
