But one Chinese student took cruelty to a whole new level when he started abusing man’s best friend: a stray puppy found on the university campus.
Animal Hope and Wellness made a detailed post on Instagram showing disturbing images of the young man abusing the poor, helpless puppy (Pictured Below):
You can see the puppy tied up on a pole. I can only wonder what was going through the young man’s mind.
That was only just the beginning of the abuse.
He wound up killing the poor creature.
In the young man’s social media posts, he posted updates on his abuse of the puppy:
He started off by tying the puppies legs to the pole. He then beat it to death with a metal rod.
But that wasn’t enough: He proceeded to cut the puppy up into little pieces, and also sliced off its head.

In his post, the university student commented that it was ‘not easy to cut a dog’s windpipe’.
I think I’m gonna be sick.
Qi Xi The Puppy
According to Zx.Sina.Cn, the little pup was affectionately known as Qi Xi and was a regular in the university, roaming around and getting fed by students.
I’m sure the students are going to feel a deep sense of loss.
A Crime Goes Unpunished
The Chengdu University has released an official statement announcing the expulsion of the student. He was studying Chemistry and was a Masters degree candidate, according to The Paper.

Expulsion or punishment for carrying out animal abuse is a rare happening in China, but due to numerous messages to the University, action was taken.
There are no laws with regards to animal abuse in China, it looks like that will be the end of the incident and the man will not be facing any further consequences.
