From 18 to 30 May 2025, the Central Narcotics Bureau (CNB) conducted a large-scale islandwide operation that resulted in the arrest of 139 individuals for suspected drug offences.
Among those arrested was a 14-year-old student, making him the youngest person involved in the operation.

Here’s what happened.
Drugs Worth Over $626,000 Seized
Officers seized a wide range of controlled substances, including heroin, cannabis, methamphetamine (commonly known as ‘Ice’), ketamine, ecstasy, cocaine, and LSD stamps.
In total, CNB recovered approximately 3,588 grams of heroin, 2,744 grams of cannabis, and 1,303 grams of ‘Ice’. The estimated street value of all drugs seized exceeds $626,700. According to CNB, this amount could have fed the addiction of roughly 2,840 abusers for a week.
The Raids
On the morning of 23 May, CNB officers arrested five male foreign nationals in the Tuas South Avenue area. The men, aged between 23 and 34, were suspected of drug-related offences. =
Two of them resisted arrest and had to be subdued using necessary force.
Another individual was caught trying to dispose of drugs, including about 2 grams of cannabis. A 24-year-old was found with a small quantity of ‘Ice’, and a further search of a nearby lodging revealed about 27 grams of cannabis.
The lodger, a 32-year-old man, was also arrested for drug possession.
On 28 May, officers raided a hotel room near Geylang Lorong 10. The suspect, a 46-year-old man, refused to open the door, prompting officers to force their way in. Inside the room, they found 2,818 grams of heroin, 565 grams of ‘Ice’, 20 grams of cannabis, 24 grams of ketamine, four Erimin-5 tablets, and $541.61 in cash.

He was arrested for suspected drug trafficking.
One day later, on 29 May, CNB arrested a 29-year-old Singaporean man at a condominium carpark along Tampines Street 86. He was brought to his residence, where officers uncovered a stash of drugs and paraphernalia.
Seized from the unit were 2,104 grams of cannabis, 165 grams of ‘Ice’, 103 grams of ketamine, 37 grams of ecstasy, 26 grams of cocaine, 22 LSD stamps, 10 Erimin-5 tablets, and 49 vape devices suspected to contain THC.
According to Section 5 of the Misuse of Drugs Act 1973, trafficking in controlled drugs is a serious offence.
This includes offering to traffic or carrying out any preparatory acts. Offenders found guilty of trafficking more than 15 grams of diamorphine (pure heroin), 250 grams of methamphetamine, or 500 grams of cannabis may face the mandatory death penalty.
