When it comes to transport, vehicles, and mobility devices, who do people hate the most?

Contending for the Most Hated award, on the blue side, are… BMW drivers!

Commonly hated for driving unpleasantly, most of the time due to a lack of usage of turn signals, BMW drivers are amongst the most despised by the average man.

Meanwhile, on the red side, we have the recently highly infamous PMD riders.

Often regarded as reckless, dangerous, death-bringing, and noisy (with their siamdiu blasting), PMD riders have repeatedly made the news in all sorts of negative ways.

In the greatest crossover of the year, the two are going to clash in a mighty confrontation that will shake the streets of Enggor Street.

PMD Rider Bumps BMW Car

In a video comprised mostly of the BMW driver’s dashcam footage, he is seen driving along Tanjong Pagar where he overtakes a PMD rider, who is casually riding in the middle of a lane.

Shortly after overtaking, the driver is about to lane change into the rightmost lane for a right turn when a very audible bang was heard from the back of a car.

Now, the driver states in his caption that the rider punched his car intentionally, but who knows for sure?

Here the driver immediately stops his car and presumably rolls down his window and opens his car door slightly for a confrontational conversation.

The rider, who appears to be a Caucasian, can be heard saying “Wake up!”

And when the driver scolded “What’s wrong with you?”, the rider replied, “You were going to kill me!”

PDM PMD Rider vs BMW Driver

The driver then repeatedly warns the rider not to ride recklessly, stating “Don’t knock into my car”, “Behave yourself”, and “I’m gonna bring you to the police station.”

He then also states “This is a road for the car, not for PDM.”

He says “PDM” instead of “PMD” a few times, in fact.

At this point, cars have started to come in and their positioning was causing congestion, receiving many car horns of annoyance.

However, due to this, we also get a short footage of what was going on from another car’s dashcam, when previously we only had the audio from the driver.

The driver angrily reprimands “Do you understand?!” after his strict-father lecture, to which the rider replies “Uh… think so” in a surprising meek way.

But just when we thought this would be resolved relatively peacefully, the BMW driver decides to chu pattern.

Things Get Physical

For some reason, the driver decided to use the car door to hit the rider in the face.

Now, in the caption, the driver states that he “wanted to open the door and check on [his] car”, but once again, who knows?

This was when the rider had enough of playing nice and he sets aside his e-scooter, asking “What did you just do?” while seemingly grabbing the driver.

The driver decides to act blur live longer, and replied “I asked you ‘did you understand’…”

The rider goes on the offensive now, stating “You need to stay in your place. You don’t need to educate me.”

The driver is the submissive one now, saying “Hey… there are cars behind that want to move, alright?”

“You just touched me.” the rider continues, “I’m in a very good mood today, I’m not gonna do anything to you.”

Perhaps this statement was too much for the BMW driver’s ego, and he goes back on the offensive.

“What did you do to me?!”

The driver started to flare up, but the rider wasn’t intimidated.

He then dared to the driver to step out of his vehicle, who refused to do so, saying “Why should I come down? I don’t want to get into any fight with you!”

Fortunately, things were no longer got physical, but they continued warning each other to be careful on the road, with the Caucasian rider stating, “I’m f*cking tired of Singaporean drivers behaving like bullshit”.

They exchanged a few more verbal blows before the driver decided he had to go.

The rider ended with a “f*ck’s sake”… and the driver yelled back a passive-aggressive “Thank you!” before driving off.

28nov2019camcar driver of bmw # SLG391S encountered a PMD rider , riding on the road on Enggor Street and…quotedI saw a PMD came out from Skysuites/Altez area and riding on the road. I continue to pay attention to the PMD and filtered into right hand lane as I need to turn right into the Tanjong Pagar Carpark. Suddenly, I heard a loud bang from the back of my car when I approached the junction between Tanjong Pagar Road and Enggor Street. The PMD rider, apparently a Caucasian about 30, punched my car at the back after he had came to a stop, I asked him why he did that for. He said I almost knocked into him and he said he is sick of Singaporean people driving on the road. I told not to bang the car anymore and I will report to the police, he immediately stop complaining and said he will not do that tomorrow. I also reminded him that this roadfor motor vehicle and he is not suppose to ride PMD on the road. I asked him if he understand, he said he thinks he understand, I wanted to open the door and check on my car he immediately grab my neck and choked me with his right palm. I asked what is he doing and demand him to let go, he let me go after the uncles around the loading and unloading bay came helping. He demanded me to stepped out of the car, I told him I do not want to fight him or get into any fight and told him to closed my car door as I need to go. He closed the door and decided to ride his PMD on the foot path instead. I have captured and recorded whole incident in the car dashboard camera.

While surely no one is fully right in this situation, do you side with either one here more?

There is a recount of the situation in the video caption by the driver, but note that it is pretty one-sided.

For example, he stated that the rider grabbed his neck and choked him, but I doubt that he could still talk so calmly if that truly happened.

So, what do you think?
