There are all types of parents in the world: There are good ones, and then there are bad parents who’ll allegedly ditch you to save their own ass.
By the way, if you think I’m telling a fictional story, think again.
Couple Abandoned Kids After One Was Found With Fever
The Wuhan coronavirus has infected more than 1,300 people and killed more than 41 people worldwide, including a doctor.
Which is why airlines and governments are putting in measures to try and stem the spread of the coronavirus.
One of which is to scan people for fever, and stop them if tested positive.
Unfortunately for personnel on duty at the Nanjing Lukou International Airport on 22 Jan 2020, they detected a kid having a fever.
Naturally, they refused to allow the family of four on board the plane.
What do you think happened next?
Kids Spotted Sitting By Themselves At The Airport
A Weibo user spotted the kids sitting alone at the airport.
It turns out that after getting refused entry because of their kids, the couple decided to do the next logical thing.
They left them behind and boarded the plane themselves.
They Were Calling The Airport’s Bluff
Remember how your mom drank on the train? And when you tell her that she can’t, she said try me?
The couple had the same idea too.
They were betting that the airport personnel would give in and allow their kids to get on board the plane.
According to a netizen on the same plane, the irresponsible couple caused the plane to be delayed by three hours.
Three hours.
It wasn’t known if the family was eventually allowed to leave on the plane.
But honestly, no matter whether they meant to leave the kids behind or not, they shouldn’t have done that.
Why?
For one, it’s pretty self-entitled to believe that you’re above the law, as shown by the netizen who bragged about skipping the screening process.
And two, think of the kids, man. They’re young and the only thing they’ll understand is that their parents abandoned them in a foreign place.
Just because of something out of their control.
