Imagine wanting to go out of your house to go to a shopping mall, only to realise that someone has locked you in your own house using a bicycle chain.
Why.
Couple Who Just Returned To S’pore Locked In Their Homes Twice By Bicycle Locks
The Singapore police force are now looking into the case of mischief after residents of a unit in Block 209 Serangoon Central found themselves locked inside their own homes for two days in a row.
Wait, this meant that the culprits came back to lock them in again!?
The victim revealed that the incident first occurred on 8 January, when she found two bicycle locks on their front gate at around 2.30pm.
As a result, they weren’t able to unlock their doors.
They promptly alerted the police to a case of mischief at 3.56pm. The police then cut through the locks when they visited the house to save them.
They thought that their ordeal was over. They would just make a police report and go on their way and carry on with their lives. Wrong.
The same thing happened the very next day on the morning of 9 January when another lock was placed on their gate. The discovery was made at around 6.50am.
They then called a locksmith to cut the locks before they informed the police about the second incident.
Police Enquiries
Not willing to leave any stones unturned, the police asked the couple if they had borrowed any money, but they have denied this.
They mentioned that they had been abroad for as long as a month and had only returned home to their flat on 4 January.
No one wants this to happen to them. Imagine being locked in your own house by a bicycle chain.
We hope that the police will be able to track down the culprits, apprehend them and punish them accordingly.
