1 Death That is Not Related to COVID-19 Infection
Yesterday (14 April 2020), an 80-year-old Malaysian national passed away. After his demise, test results show that he has the coronavirus in him.
However, MOH has verified that his death is not related to COVID-19 infection, so the number of deaths caused by COVID-19 infection is still at 10.
Updates on Confirmed Cases
With today’s announcement, the total number of confirmed cases we have now is 3,699.
652 of the patients have fully recovered and are discharged. 26 are now in ICU, and as mentioned earlier, 10 have passed away due to complications caused by COVID-19. 2 other people who’ve tested positive for COVID-19 had died due to other factors.
The conditions of the remaining patients are stable or improving. Of this group, 1,540 of them who are clinically well but still test positive for COVID-19 are isolated and cared for at community facilities.
You can do your part as a responsible citizen through helping out in contact tracing by downloading the TraceTogether app.
