A week ago, the Ministry of Health (MOH) got almost everyone who visited the Khatib HomeTeamNS Clubhouse’s KTV on 1 and 2 Aug to go in for a Covid-19 swab test.
Well, fast forward two weeks and something similar seems to be taking place.

A Bit Of Background
On 22 Aug 2020, one of the Covid-19 cases reported in the community is an employee at SLR Revolution, a camera shop at Excelsior Shopping Centre.
Nothing seems to be much of a problem except, well, he had gone to work even after showing symptoms of Covid-19 infection.
The man, a 61-year-old Singaporean, had his symptoms on 17 August 2020 and had gone to the doctor. He was diagnosed with an acute respiratory infection (ARI) and a swab test confirmed his status on 20 August 2020.
And everything was fine, until today.
A Possible Community Case Linked To SLR Covid-19 Case
It was reported that a Covid-19 case on 27 Aug 2020 might be linked to the 61-year-old employee at SLR Revolution.
The 31-year-old Singaporean woman was one of two cases reported yesterday and contact tracing showed that she had gone to the SLR Revolution shop at Excelsior Shopping Centre on 17 Aug 2020.
Afraid that it’s due to her contact with the infected employee, MOH decides to “facilitate” Covid-19 testing for visitors to the shop between 15 and 18 Aug 2020.
By the way, facilitate is a nice word for, come and do your test. Now.

Risk Is Low
Now, if you’ve visited the shop in the affected timeframe and you’re busy hyperventilating now, don’t.
MOH has said that the risk of transmission for visitors in the shop is “low” but they’ll still be doing tests for the visitors “just in case”.
Anyone who is unwell when contacted by MOH will be taken to the hospital immediately.
As for other customers who happened to be there during the same timeframe, MOH urges you to monitor your health for the next 14 days.
If you develop acute respiratory infections, see a doctor immediately.

Camera Shop Reopened Today
When the infected Covid-19 employee was discovered, SLR Revolution closed the outlet temporarily and placed its staff on 14 days’ quarantine.
In an update, SLR Revolution said that their place has been disinfected and all other employees have tested negative for Covid-19.
Their branch at Excelsior Shopping Center will be open for business today (28 Aug) but instead of the Excelsior Shopping Center branch’s employees (who are still in the midst of their quarantine), it will be managed by their team from Jurong Point.
They assure that the team from Jurong Point has no contact whatsoever with the Excelsior team.
