If you’ve time-travelled from April 2020, you’re in for a treat because we’ve kind of kept COVID-19 under control.

Out of today’s cases, 1 is a community case.
There are 5 imported cases, and they’ve all been placed on Stay-Home Notice upon arrival in Singapore.
On average, based on yesterday’s numbers, the number of new cases in the community has remained stable at an average of 1 case per day in the past 2 weeks.
The number of unlinked cases in the community has also remained stable at an average of fewer than 1 case per day in the past 2 weeks.
First Day Without a Dormitory Case Since 28 March 2020
Ever since 28 March 2020, it seems like the coronavirus has made itself comfortable in dormitories all over Singapore, as they have been cases in dormitories every single day—even when they’ve been “cleared”.
Yesterday (9 October) marked the first day since 28 March whereby there’s no new case reported in purpose-built dormitories.
Out of the 10 cases reported yesterday, 9 were imported cases. The only remaining case is a close contact of a previously confirmed case and had already been quarantined to prevent further transmission.
There are currently 37 confirmed cases who are still in hospital. Of these, most are stable or improving, and 1 of them is in critical condition in the intensive care unit.
